Mourning for a British clarinet
RIPThe family have posted news of the passing of Charles Hine, former musical director of British Clarinet Ensemble.
Charles, who was 72, had been suffering from Lewy body dementia.
He taught countless young musicians in Essex and surrounding counties.
Clarinettist!
Sadly missed by friends and colleagues; aside from his own superb musicianship, he did so much for so many other musicians. Some comments, and live recordings from one of his last performances, are now posted here:

The funeral / farewell service for Charles is on Friday 9 February at Colchester Cemetery Chapel at 10:45am.
