Quite a modest car – albeit with a long life.

I would have expected him to be more of a Vorsprung durch Technik kind of a guy.
Bayreuth 1968: I distinctly remember PB driving a Mercedes two-seater convertible, registered in Baden-Baden (his home at that time).
Boulez was a man who wanted to get efficiently from start to end without much ado. Not withstanding to enjoying what life has to offer on the way. (convertible)
