Just in: Musicians call off ENO strike
OperaThe performing arts union Equity has said its chorus members have called off a strike at English National Opera this week after agreeing an ‘interim settlement’ with the company over its proposed move to Manchester.
The Musicians’ Union has also suspended strike action but orchestra members will continue other disruptions until they have clarity.
No details are yet known of the agreements.
This entire debacle emphasises the question as to why highly paid Arts Council leaders are not being held accountable for undermining culture in this country.
Time to grow up Siegfried
Siegfried is merely saying what most of us feel.
What, precisely, is wrong with Siegfried’s comment?
Götterdämmerung seems to be ACE’s objective.
Strike action will kill ENO just as it killed the British Motor Industry!
Hmmmm. Only if ACE and ENO’s disastrous management and board don’t kill it off first. And frankly they nearly have already.
