The Emerson Quartet did not have a “first” or “second” violin. Eugene Drucker and Philip Setzer alternated parts.
He was also recently appointed head of chamber music at Stony Brook University.
Gene Drucker is an intellectual and musical genius who has recorded the complete solo violin works of J. S. Bach. The BBS is in good hands.
