I remain baffled by the redundancy that Apple Music Classical represents. This because of the other app, Apple Music. As far as I can tell, anything classical I may search for on AMC is also available on the other AM app. So what gives?
The categorization in AMC is specifically catered to classical music. Each album separates works by different composers, you can search for individual conductors. The indexing is much more complex in that app due to necessity, whereas AM is fine for everyday listening.
This is just further ghettorization of the so-called classical music. Only when they start to provide extensive program notes (like Idagio does), scholarly sources and more extensive collections, such ghettorization can be justified.
Like the ghettoization we used to LOVE at Tower, especially in Tokyo?
