Munich sends 1 million Euros to Israeli hospital
OrchestrasFrom a press release:
The city of Munich and its philharmonic orchestra have declared solidarity with their sister-city Be’er Sheva, in the Negev desert. The city council has made one million euros available to the Soroka Medical Centre to care for victims of the October 7th Hamas terror attack who are still being treated there.
The city and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra have dedicated the January 17, 2024 concert as a solidarity event with Be’er Sheva and with all Jews living in Germany . This concert should send a clear signal, they say, that anti-Semitism must have no place on our doorsteps or in our society. The concert will be all-Brahms, the 2nd piano cocerto (soloist Yefim Bronfman) and second symphony, conducted by Zubin Mehta.
Germany is probably secretly happy that day by day what it had become in the 1930s is no longer seen as singularly evil. Otherwise it’s hard to explain its totally one-sided official stance. We’ve got pro-Palestinian leftists claiming Israel is committing a genocide comparable to (or worse than) what Nazi did to Jews, right-wing Israelis openly arguing Hamas is more genocidal than Nazis, and finally antisemites around the world suggesting that perhaps there was a good reason Nazis (and others) hate Jews. The last sentiment is by they way disconcertingly on the rise in countries with no history of antisemitism. Somehow the only party that comes out looking better in this rotten affair is Nazi Germany.
That said, it’s great Munich is sending aid to hospitals in its sister-city.
No, Nazi Germany doesn’t come out looking “better”. That is inconceivable. Modern Germany, BRD, is acquitting itself rather well, however.
Compensation for the Munich Olympics?
Let’s see, which hospital needs more money, the one in Israel or the one in Palestine?
Oh I forgot, there are no more hospitals in Palestine, Israel bombed them all.
200,000 dead in Palestine.
Zayin, we, as a group, hope you know what your name means. That’s what you have instead of a brain.
Why doesn’t germany recognise the genocide when its happening? Why do they recognise afterwards.
I’m sure that as soon as there is a genocide, they’ll recognize it. Will you?
How about now
