Canadian lands French national orchestra
NewsThe French ministry of culture has promulgated the appointment of Nicolas Ellis as music director of the Orchestre National de Bretagne. He will start in 2024, succeeding the Welshman Grant Llewellyn, who has held the post for eight years.
Ellis, 32, is founder of Canada’s Orchestre de l’Agora and artistic partner to Yannick Nézet-Séguin at the Orchestre Métropolitain.
He’s very good.
