Death of a leading Polish pianist, 88
RIPThe death has been announced of the much recorded Polish pianist Jerzy Marchwiński, husband of the international opera singer Ewa Podles (who survives him).
Marchwinski was deeply involved in Polish musical life as a soloist and recital partner. He made more than 25 commercial records.
