New boss in Norway
OrchestrasThe new Managing Director of the Oslo Philharmonic is to be Knut Skansen, presently director of the Deichman Library in Oslo. He succeeds Ingrid Røynesdal, who has left to run the National Museum.
Skansen has a degree in literature and worked in a municial library. Sounds a perfect fit for an international orchestra.
And I thought crazy hirings like that happened only in American orchestras.
Or CBSO
At least he didn’t run a Deichmann shoe store..
What an orchestra!! What a country!! Do go there if you can; it’s absolutely amazing.
This is typical Norwegian(s).. a small cercle of CEOs, without any knowledges at the fields they will rule. Disgusting.
Maybe he can apply in couple of years as CEO of NASA.
