Today in Verbier a very promising Verdi Requiem live at 6:30pm.

Last Saturday a very promising 1st recital in Verbier by Alexandra Dovgan.

Autenthicity, musicality, no histrionics, and a splendid program: Bach’s e-minor Partita, Beethoven’s “Farewell-Sonata, Brahms’ Haendel-Variations.

I was only once at Verbier in the days when performances took place in a tent. There were some excellent performances but it was then very much a Festival primarily for the rich. Has it changed?

    • Micaela Bonetti says:

      Not that much, I’m afraid.

Neverthless, lots of young, very young attenders, mainly because of the packed Academy masterclasses!

  • Namesake says:

LEAVE THIS ALONE, folks! I have known Blythe Teh since 1998, and can share that she is both a worthy musician and a more than worthy mind capable of owning and conquering this new role!

  • Musician says:

Blythe is amazing!! Good for her and the festival!!!
