  • Nikolisz says:

Thats great! The orchestra there is getting better and better, lots of young Montenegrins now studying in London and Vienna, exciting developments for classical music in the country!

  • Simon says:

Good to know that the venerable Orchestre Colonne is still going (on paper at least) – always surprises me that they do not have an active profile outside France. Could be wrong, in which case I am prepared to be corrected.

    • Ruben Greenberg says:

Simon: In the old days, Colonne was mostly made up of musicians from the Paris Opera. These days, it uses free-lance musicians, teachers, conservatory students and some people from the major wind bands. In terms of financing, they squeak by; haven’t enough funds to travel much outside of France or even Paris.

  • Celso Antunes says:

    Bravo, cher Marc!

Marc Korovitch resigned after 18 months as chorus master. The initial contract was for 3 years. No comment :):)
