Socially accepted Baby at the “proper” age: CHECK.

Now lets package the little rascal with relatives/maids and back to what is important: the socialite life of the 1-2 concerto pianist, the paraphernalia of the “arts” media world, and self congratulatory world of agencies, labels and concert halls.

“Bloddy Daughter 2.0” on the making…

    • nimitta says:

What a grotesquely spiteful mischaracterization of this sincere and gifted artist! MM, you clearly have some of your own issues but, in regard to Khatia Buniatishvili, absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

      • Mecky Messer says:

One can be a gifted artist and a horrendous person.

I guess you are the type to look the other way when Levine, Domingo, etc…anyone from the bestselling tenor to the local conservatory pervert did horrendous things, all with the excuse of “genius”.

99.9% of top musicians I know have broken families, abandoned children, etc.

But none of that matters – the fake fame and self congratulatory culture of the decaying “arts elite” makes it all worth it.

        • nimitta says:

What on earth are you going on about, MM? Khatia Buniatishvili hasn’t done anything “horrendous”, and no one is making excuses for her. I’d say any fame she’s attained has been deserved, and commensurate with her many pianistic gifts. In fact, the freshness of her musical ideas is quite the opposite of decadence.

          • Mecky Messer says:

I am going to assume you know how to read, correct?

Watch Bloddy Daughter, the documentary about Martha Argerich and her daughter, and you’ll see what I am talking about.

    • High-Note says:

You’re trying to equate Katia with Martha? Not a chance!

      • Mecky Messer says:

Not her playing, just her “terrible mother” skills.

That’s as close to Argerich as she’ll ever get…

Maybe that’s also a competition..who gets to have the most traumatized offspring. From Argerich’s daughter to Barenboim’s sons….

        What a beautiful family…

Cynicism doesn’t actually make you look smart.

  • MMcG says:

There is so much wrong with this “sultry mama with car seat” picture…and lots of potential captions.

What gets into people to post stuff like this? I almost died laughing!

    • Khatia Defender says:

Wow, you’re right! She should just get back to the practice room/kitchen, right? “Here comes the milktruck”? “Just another day at the brap barn”?

If she were a man taking the same photo next to his new baby, you wouldn’t post this sort of thing. Just because some want to sexualize her body doesn’t mean she has to adjust her style.

      • Micaela Bonetti says:

I beg your pardon, but I think Miss Buniatishvili was the 1st one to sexualise her body.

        • mk says:

You mean, by daring to have a body that you find attractive? What insolence!

        • Sue Sonata Form says:

I beg your pardon….I never promised you a rose garden.

It has to be said from that photo, that Ms Buniatishvili is striking a pose!!

    • Bob says:

      Please keep laughing.

    • Bob says:

      Ach Mecky, hör auf!

    • Womanly2 says:

To me the funny thing is that NL chose to show this photo. Tells more about him than her. Click bait city. And believe me, she looks gorgeous and has every right to express herself this way. I think she’s awesome. And yes, I am a straight female. Go Khatia!

  • The Fun is Still Over says:

Mommy time over, back to concertizing!

  • Zarathusa says:

!Does this look like someone returning from a “dress-down proletarian affair”??? I, for one, don’t think so! But it is a nice handbag

  • caranome says:

Her new baby looks up to her and thinks “is that all for me?”

  • Mr. Ron says:

    Good for her. She’s great.

  • Micaela Bonetti says:

Why always (sometimes subtle) snake phrases anytime it’s about any new concerning Switzerland, Mr Lebrecht?
As a Swiss-Italian citizen I feel offended each time.

Which appealing experiences/bad persons did you go through/meet in Switzerland, may we one day know?

Switzerland, that I myself many more times you could imagine, am very angry, disappointed, scandalized by is no worse, no better than any other countriy in the world.
It’s not only banks, pharmas, chocolate!

I would never dare to despise UK the way you do with my country.

La ringrazio per la cortese attenzione.
    Migliori saluti.

  • John Soutter says:

Will her dresses be dressed down two?

  • Potpourri says:

Khatia looks like a new mother who is breastfeeding her newborn. Her blouse is practical and makes her milk easily accessible to the baby. A shawl or small blanket provides modesty when she is nursing. Khatia is a normal young mother except for her fame and beauty. Mommy time is never over. It continues until the children are middle age and live thousands of miles away.
