I always thought “Greyfriars Bobby” had one of the most hauntingly beautiful musical scores ever! In fact, thanks for ALL of them, Mark! RIP!

One of my favorite movies around the Christmas season is Angel In the House aka Foster (2010). I remember the very first time I watched it, and as the music began I felt a certain warmth. It’s hard to describe, but the music really touched me. As the movie progressed I was enthralled, not only by the story, but the beautiful music that seemed to fit so perfectly.

I watched the movie today and, once again, the music touched my heart. Afterwards I decided to look up the composer, Mark Thomas. Imagine my surprise – and heartbreak – when I read he’d died earlier this year. Oh how I wish I’d taken the time earlier to write and let him know how wonderful that score is.

Thank you, Mr. Thomas, for all the wonderful music.
