BBC lures principal from Ulster
OrchestrasThe BBC Philharmonic has appointed Thomas Fountain of the Ulster Orchestra as its principal trumpet, right in the middle of Proms
Not to be confused with James Fountain, who is principal trumpet of the London Symphony Orchestra.
They are brothers
A veritable fountain in my pants. Congratulations young man. Sploosh!
I think there might be more family-friendly ways of conveying your enthusiasm………………..
If both brothers are that “family-friendly” I would be very enthusiastic indeed.
I think you’ll find they are brothers.
Congrats to Tom. One of the best trumpeters I’ve ever worked with.
Congratulations to Tom! And welcome to the BBC Phil family! What a fabulous player he is!
I’ve actually always preferred their father’s playing – the humble giant of the brass band scene, Gary Fountain. Legénde
