US boss quits German opera house
NewsThe Intendant of Staatsoper Hannover has decided to leave before the end of her contract.
Laura Berman, 63, has been in charge since 2019 and will remain until July 2025.
She says she wants to ‘turn to new tasks after six years in Hannover.’
No other reason, apparently, although she was involved in controversy recently when her ballet director smeared dog sh*t on the face of a visiting FAZ critic.
she will be 65. i assumed that is retirement age.
