Kirill Petrenko goes guest conducting
NewsAfter devoting himself body and soul to the Berlin Philharmonic for the past four years, its chief conductor is finally getting out and about.
Next week Kirill Petrenko is appearing in Amsterdam with the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Alban Berg’s 3 Orchesterstücke, Op. 6, and Béla Bartók’s The Wooden Prince. Next season he’s at La Scala conducting Rosenkavalier and in Bergen, Norway, for Elektra.
So far as we’re aware his only other recent away nights have been with the Israel Philharmonic (pictured).
