OrchestrasGabriela Montero will replace her next week in the Tchaikovsky concerto on three nights in Rome with Santa Cecilia and Mirga Gražynitë-Tyla.
Montero will be replaced on a Spain tour with Gautier Capuçon by Kim Bernard.

Message from Santa Cecilia: For health-related reasons, Chinese pianist Yuja Wang is forced to cancel the concert scheduled at Accademia di Santa Cecilia. She will be replaced by the Venezuelan pianist Gabriela Montero, who will perform Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto. The rest of the program remains unchanged.
Why is it necessary for the announcement to include the nationality of the pianists?

Yes, I was thinking of that, too. As long as someone’s nationality is not stated in any pejorative way.
Art can be abused by politicians, which must be avoided in all circumstances.
Why not? Is it somehow discriminatory? If one person out of the thousand is triggered for whatever , it should not mean that 99,9% should accept it and change their normal way of life which is already approaching Orwells worst nightmares

Yes, well one can’t help being unwell and I hope Yuja gets better soon. Gabriela Montero is an extremely fine pianist too, though.
