Triple maestro moves in Italy and France
OrchestrasWe hear that RAI Orchestra in Torino signed Andres Orozco Estrada as its Music Director, his second job since storming out of Vienna last year. The Colombian has already landed the prestigious Gürzenich orchestra in Cologne.
Elsewhere, the Orchestra Sinfonica of Milano has chosen Emmanuel Tjeknavorian as its next Chief Conductor.
These two posts have yet to be formally announced.
On the official side, the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine has appointed Joseph Swensen as its music director from 2024. Swensen, 63, is a Norwegian-Japanese-American former violinist and composer.
