Lucerne picks British music director
OrchestrasThe opera house in Lucerne has named Jonathan Bloxham as its incoming music director, starting in September.
Bloxham, now in his mid-30s, had his first break as Mirga’s Assistant Conductor at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. He is also resident conductor at the London Mozart Players.
He is managed locally by the Viennese Künstleragentur Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm, globally by Intermusica.
