Hanoverian concertmaster dies
RIPThe violinist Volker Worlitzsch, concertmaster of the NDR Philharmonic in Hannover for 39 years, has died at the age of 78.
Before taking up the concertmaster’s seat, he played for two years in the first violins of the Berlin Philharmonic.
He invented and held patents for a number of string-instrument devices.
