Cliburn winner swaps small agency for smaller
NewsAt the top of this week’s artist moves is the signing of Ukrainian pianist Vadym Kholodenko with London-based boutique Knight Classical for worldwide management.
Vadym, 36, winner of the 2013 Van Cliburn Competition, was previously with Sulivan Sweetland, but they merged this week with Maestro Arts and he clearly prefers something smaller. His wife, violinist Alena Baeva, is also with Knight.
In a peculiar reverse move, the Latvian accordionist Ksenia Sidorova who left HarrisonParrott with others two years ago to join boutique Tez Arts has just changed her mind and rejoined HP.
In other moves, the Israeli mandolinist Avi Avital has joined AskonasHolt.
And IMG has signed pianist James Ballieu and French soprano Axelle Fanyo.
Who cares…
After that terrible story with her ex-wife, Alena Baeva broke up with her millionaire husband, being a mother twice, and married Vadim. Not everything is clear there.
