Alles Gute zum 90., lieber Helmuth!
Thank you, Conductor Helmuth Rilling, for brilliantly enhancing the culture of my home city/state (Eugene, Oregon) via the genius of Bach and his global influence!
Apart from the wonder-filled traditional choral and instrumental works, even
“Bachianas Brasileiras”
by Heitor Villa-Lobos and other intentionally Bach-influenced works, were sometimes featured at the Oregon Bach Festival.
You nurtured a love and deep understanding of Bach!
Here’s to you and the German genius J.S.B.!
Lucky you to have been present at these concerts. Our Flamenco Festival begins in a few days.
