Death of a leading sax maker

The pioneering German wind instruments firm of Benedikt Eppelsheim has announced his death from a protracted illness:

With great sadness we have to announce that Benedikt Eppelsheim, the founder of our company, has passed away. His loss fills us with deep grief. He was a very dear mentor and colleague to us.
In his remembrance, we will go on building musical instruments with his high standards so that his life and work will not be forgotten.
Since Mr. Eppelsheim was not involved in day-to-day operations for some time due to his health issues, we can state that this loss will not affect our production schedule as a company.
Our experienced team and Johannes Beblo, Mr. Eppelsheim’s successor will continue on manufacturing our instruments to the highest standards.
