A Chopin film protests three sites of inhumanity

A Polish TV documentary, ‘Chopin. I am Not Afraid of Darkness’, follows three players who take the music to places of conflict.

The Polish pianist Leszek Możdżer, South Korean Won Jae Yeon and half-Syrian Fares Marek Basmadji visit Auschwitz, the border that cuts Korea in half and the destroyed city centre of Beirut.

    Leszek Możdżer is a genius! Sadly he rarely performs outside Poland these days.

    It seems odd to use Chopin in this project as the reports are that he was anti-semitic.
