$59 on April 14, 15, 16 only

There are just four chances to see the highly acclaimed production of Irish playwright Samuel Beckett’s Endgame livestreamed from New York’s Irish Rep Theatre and only two of them are at a time when those of us not in New York can watch them. But judging from the reviews of this production, it will be worth it.

The cast is Bill Irwin, John Douglas Thompson, Joe Grifasi, and Patrice Johnson Chevannes and the director is Ciarán O’Reilly.“Sly, vivid and pulsingly alive” says Laura Collins-Hughes in The New York Times.

Endgame, Nobel Prize-winning playwright Samuel Beckett’s  (1906-1989) favourite play, is a tragicomedy of epic proportions. Written in a macabre intensity of mood, it represents the playwright’s fierce declaration of oblivion in a world populated with its last survivors. The play, about the end of everything, moves inexorably to its own conclusion, with its own humour bursting out of the bounds of Beckett’s dark account of the Earth’s last whimper.

Be careful. This is a livestream, not a recording. No rebroadcast. You will need to watch at the scheduled performance time, and you will be unable to view the show a second time or at a later date. $59

The choices are: Friday April 14 at 8:00pm EDT (1am UK,) April 15 at 2pmEDT (7pm UK), April 15 at 7pm (midnight UK), April 16  at 3 EDT (8pmUK).
