Three maestro moves keep the baton twirling
OrchestrasSinfonieorchester Basel in Switzerland has named the German Markus Poschner (pictured) as principal conductor from 2025. He succeeds Ivor Bolton. Poschner is presently Chief Conductor of the Bruckner Orchester Linz.
China’s Xian Symphony has appointed the Italian Rico Saccani, who’s based in Iceland, to be chief conductor from December this year.
