The Simpsons conductor dies suddenly, at 64
RIPThe death has been announced of Chris Ledesma, music editor on The Simpsons from its launch in 1989 until last year, covering 700 episodes.
The Simpsons executive producer Matt Selman said: ‘Ledesma poured his heart and soul into crafting the musical language of The Simpsons.
‘Chris imbued every episode of the show over 33 seasons with his deep knowledge and even deeper passion for the music which has become a part of so many peoples’ lives… his loss is felt deeply by the many who loved him.’
Los Angeles born, Ledesmas studied orchestral conducting at San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and grandchildren.
A gifted, talented and very nice man.
