A very pleasant voice, indeed. She was also an accomplished photographer, as I understand.
Wow, she richly deserves to be remembered for her wonderful voice, very musical singing. I had no idea there was so much to this silver screen legend than meets the eye. Thank you for bringing this to our attention—and for the bonus clip with a young Tito Gobbi.
“so much more than meets the eye”
Such a beautiful and talented woman!
She was accomplished in a number of arts: acting, photography, sculpture – and singing!
Addio, cara Lollo.
My young students all know her name: “Lollobrigida” is the perfect equally-divided word for teaching subdivision into five; add her first name “Gina Lollobrigida” for subdivision into seven.
RIP La Lollo! She lit up every screen she appeared in and will be remembered as one of the greats.
RIP, supremely talented lady. A very good photographer and sculptor, too. Another great has left us and they’re not being replaced.
