Paris has new concertmaster, 24
NewsThe Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France has upgraded Nathan Mierdl, 24, to the concertmaster’s role. He previously served a short spell in the orchestra as principal second violin.
Originally from Frankfurt, Nathan has his own quartet, Quatuor Gaïa.
He will rotate in concertmaster duties with Hélène Collerette and Ji Yoon Park, starting this week.
The chief conductor is Mikko Franck.

However he is rather a good player, he is a terrible concertmaster.
My condolences to the first violin section. Having someone who has no idea whatsoever about the tasks of a concertmaster in front of you must be quite frustrating.
