Mannheim appoints Brit baton

The Mannheim National Theatre has appointed Alistair Lilley as chorus director from this summer.

He succeeds Dani Juris, who is upgrading to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.

A graduate of the the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio in London Lilley has worked at the Royal Opera House, Scottish Opera and English National Opera. He is presently head of chorus and conductor at the Regensburg Theatre.

      Are you kidding????There is only one or two beautiful buildings,the baroque castle and one or two churches….The rest….. afaceless,bland brutalist 70s town ,dirty, full of litter….
