Mannheim appoints Brit baton
OperaThe Mannheim National Theatre has appointed Alistair Lilley as chorus director from this summer.
He succeeds Dani Juris, who is upgrading to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin.
A graduate of the the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio in London Lilley has worked at the Royal Opera House, Scottish Opera and English National Opera. He is presently head of chorus and conductor at the Regensburg Theatre.
