Death of a Russian conductor, 74
RIPThe death has been announced in Moscow of the violinist and conductor Grigory Krasko. No cause has been given.
Krsko, who turned 74 last month, was concertmaster of the Bolshoi and the Moscow Philharmonic orchestras before forming hs own chamber orchestra, Soloists of the Moscow Philharmonic.
In 2008 he took up a concertmaster’s post in Montenegro. Four years later he was appointed conductor of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra.
If a cause is given, that may raise issues.
I remember one unfortunate accident, where a fellow had joined in trying to move a piano, but fell. Many floors.
