I must say I do not understand Slippedisc on many new items. This is one of them. Why mentioning this pianist? It is much and much more interesting the news on pianist Mikhail Voskresensky @ CNN a week ago: https://edition.cnn.com/videos/tv/2023/01/19/amanpour-voskresensky-fletcher-russia-ukraine.cnn
And yes, I like the typo error in her name ‘Hippmann’, guess the author looked to much to her hips at time of writing 😉
I’d love to listen to Sergei Babayan performing Rachmaninoff. I don’t care in the least how he will dress. Besides, at concerts I can’t see the pianist’s back: the acoustics of the right side of the hall are better for the piano.
When the look of some bare skin carries totally you away it’s easy to get the name wrong; it’s Huppmann.
So “stunning and brave”. LOL
She’s got it on backwards!
Yuja is doing back-to-back Rachmaninoff concertos these days. Wonderfully, if I may judge from her performance of 1, 2 and Paganini in Philadelphia last Thursday.
Isn’t it time that some male performers showed a bit more backbone?
Shockingly amateur performance of the Rachmaninov!! The hands aren’t in time with each other. What an utter mish-mash!! Less attention to livery, more attention to talent and detail.
Glad to see your back.
