Two of the world’s leading music venues lost their websites to massive cyber-attacks almost a week ago.

Neither has recovered.

The losses in ticket sales at the busiest time of the year must be immense.

Silence prevails.

Nobody feels the need to enlighten the concert and operagoing public.

It speaks volumes about their cyber incompetence. A more tech-savvy organization would have recovered fairly quickly after the attack. Comes to show that tech know-how is no longer the province of strictly-tech organizations but of every organization. They could also be outsourcing their tech security if they are unable to staff for themselves.

Do a little research…the average for recovery is 20-22 days for corporations worldwide, with exceptions stretching to months.

Well, you have enlightened us, so…good job?

More slaps on the bots coming up?

  • YK says:

Looks like Met Opera on Demand not working, too. Unable to login.

  • JohnUWS says:

Many organizations do not provide details of such events until fully assessed and resolved ( ie if customer data was breached)Apart from being told they are down and who is handling tickets for them what details do you need to know at this point?

  • Bill says:

As least for the Met, it is now a crime scene and the FBI is undoubtedly investigating. They probably don’t want any information released at the moment.
