Has anyone ever seen the CEO of a corporation, a religious leader, a major politician (except Trump) with that self-indulgent pose and self-referential look in the eyes?

Remember that these are not major leadership positions and public face recognition is hardly necessary.
The opposite occasionally happens as well…who can remember seeing a photo of Mark Volpe? Instead of self-promotion, he just did his job…well.
