She is a woman conducting, so no criticism regarding actual conducting allowed, and she has all the correct opinions regarding all the current things, signaling them flamboyantly on social media.
Prizes inevitable.
Holy cow… Didn’t know that one yet. It’s even worse than I thought.
Perhaps she can donate it to the Britten Sinfonia.
Then they would have to ask her to conduct them…
Pity you can’t follow her example then Norman.
She has worked tirelessly for the people of Ukraine – just Google it – and has rightly been recognised for doing so.
For you to:
1. Belittle her passionate and heartfelt efforts to help the embattled citizens of a beleagured country as ‘being very nice’
2. Present it in the headline as just being handed 50 grand rather than receiving a prestigious award
3. Further belittle her achievements and the recognition she has received by putting the word “apparently” in the article
….is disgraceful and insulting.
And to those of you commenting on her abilities as a conductor, what on earth has that got to do with it?!
Perhaps she could do so many good things because she is a conductor, aparently with some power….
