What fun! When/where can we see it ?
Just saw this piece live. It’s truly one of Mason’s best. He took the concept of Fantasia and improved it to its next logical step, wherein the composition informs the animation and vice versa. He created a nonverbal narrative arc that is good for beginning and advanced listeners. A real concerto for orchestra with stunningly animation.
It looks spectacular. When/where can we see the whole thing?
If I were CEO of London’s Philharmonia Orchestra I would not be happy about this….
Thank you to everyone who has asked about where you can watch Philharmonia Fantastique.
The animated film will be available to stream on Apple TV from Saturday 5 November and will have its European premiere, accompanied live with Aurora Orchestra, at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 16 April, conducted by Nicholas Collon.
Future venues to be announced – please contact Intermusica for any booking enquiries.

Terrific idea and investment in the future of the classical orchestra. Bravi to the orchestras that participated in commissioning this project.
Hopefully, there will be a full length motion picture sequel!
