Munich has new organ minder
NewsThe venerable Frauenkirche has appointed a new organist and director of music.
His name is Ruben Sturm, he’s 43 and he has been working until now in Rottenburg.
But he likes to do things differently. For his Munich audition he commissioned a new work for organ and at his interview he announced that he and his wife Kirsten planned to throw open the cathedral doors on weekday afternoons to entice passers-by to come in for a two-player organ recital.
Sounds promising.
