You really don`t have to travel to Paris to get robbed or stabbed. London and New York will do just fine, the finest cities, cultural capitals of the world.
Talk about diversifying yet again towards retirement investment!
It’s nice that Renée Fleming and the others in the trailer keep the illusion and myth of Paris alive for the tourists, but for those of us who live there, the reality is very far from what is portrayed. Yes, Paris is architecturally beautiful, but scratch the surface and the reality that you will find can be quite horrifying, extremely barbaric and uncivilised. It is anything but a cultured and romantic mecca.
You could say that about most any major city in the world. Paris may be worst than most, but I’m sure the remedy is the same: money. Any ‘cultural mecca’ can be a drag if you don’t have the funds to take advantage of
– and enjoy – its benefits.
I agree! 100%! Paris is a mixture of a decadent dying empire and one of the places in the world where a person will encounter some of the worst mannered and extremely aggressive, rude and uneducated people. Definitely not a place of romantic dreams, that is for sure!
