Putin has at his disposal plenty of musician hacks to serve his nationalist pretentions, but no Russian composer he can co-opt for his ideology.
It is not only subversion. It is outright anger. Frustration. Fear. And despair. The feeling of collective failure and damnation.
How can we be sure this isn’t western propaganda?
All three were horrible. I could have done without that, no matter their political persuasions.
