The Queen of Vulgarity is back. With the Talented (?) Mr. Eyvazov in tow. Rejoice the opera queens! (and maybe one of you will finally show her how to apply lipstick? better late than never).
It’s kind of petty, but I’m with you on the matter of lipstick…that woman doesn’t own a mirror and her husband obviously doesn’t care or possibly he likes that she looks like Bette Davis in the memorable movie “Whatever happened to Baby Jane” I wish that somebody in her circle cared enough to tell her the truth…
Just here for all the triggered commenters whenever they see an Anna post. *munches popcorn*
It isn’t secret to anyone, her singing is terrible. Why is she still invited to come here?
Harmless, I agree with your comment. Slipped Disc seems to post non-stories about Anna Netrebko several times a week just to generate traffic. I plead guilty to being a “triggered” Netrebko fan who enjoys reading the outrage expressed by both sides. Pass the popcorn.
Gasdia was a great Liu! Unlike some others in the photo, she retired early with her reputation untarnished.
Agreed; Ms. Gasdia was riveting on stage. A great artist. I particularly remember a Rinaldo (with Horne) at La Fenice about 30 years ago. Unforgettable.
So Arena di Verona agrees with the extermination of Ukrainian people (and terrible singing)? Disrespect to Italians, Europeans and all opera lovers visiting Verona. People have ears and her singing hurts us! Out Netrebko!
It is great that this legendary Russian singer can sing there. What we need more than anything now is communication and interchange between peoples (and absolutely including the Russian people) on peaceful channels. What is happening is not a war between peoples. It is commendable what Verona is doing.
You are so right, Anna is a great singer and a brave woman!
Bravo, Anna
