“add fizz to Detroit”? . . . so their previous concertmaster fizzled out?

    • John P. says:

Nothing in the Detroit classical music scene has “fizzled out” or been “out fizzled.” The opera company has a great leader and guest artist and the symphony is in great shape artistically and financially to say nothing of their historic venues. The only thing that’s lost it’s fizz is Vernors since it is no longer locally made.

The previous concertmaster moved to the concertmaster spot with the Houston Symphony a couple of years ago.

She’s the concertmaster in Manfred Honeck’s recording of Beethoven’s 9th

She’s a terrific violinist. I met her some years ago when she was twice chosen as a Young Artist for the Starling Delay Violin Symposium Courses at the Juilliard
