Death of a retiring British composer, 75
RIPThe composer Marcus Blunt has died after a long illness.
Removing himself in midlife from the hurly-burly, he settled in rural Scotland in 1990, writing music for large ensembles and handpicked soloists. He was especially fond of working their initials into the music.
