Kafka composer dies, at 78
RIPThe Czech composer Jaromir Vogel, who wrote for all genres in an expressive Jewish style, died on June 2.
After a 1960s start in the 40-piece rock band Heaven’s Angels, he gravitated towards Jewish tradition, composing a Mass Missa Ecumenica for the Czech Symphony Orchestra in Hebrew and Czech interspersed with Latin and Orthodox liturgical texts.
