Comments

  • Karl says:

Simone McIntosh was the audience favorite too. Unfortunately for me she is based in San Fransisco so I probably won’t get to hear her sing much.

  • Prop says:

Wooow what a surprise! Canadians win a canadian competition
    Does anyone see bias?

    • Christophe Huss says:

Bravo for the oscar of the stupidest comment of the year
      1) Simone McIntosh was from very far the best in the Opera (“Aria”) final yesterday and every other decision would have been irrelevant.

      2) Meredith Wohlgemuth, soprano (United States) won the Song competition.
In addition Wohlgemuth got the Development Grant (50k) and the Winner’s Concert Tour (15k) & the French Art Song Award which make her, a US contestant, with 100k prizes, the absolute champion of the competition

      3) For info The jury chaired by Zarin Mehta : Thomas Allen, Robert Holl, Hartmut Höll, Christine Schäfer, Adrienne Pieczonka, Richard Rozinski & Renaud Loranger.
And, by the way, it is an international competition
