Another classical label gets bought out
NewsThe Canadian label Analekta has been absorbed into the ever-growing Belgian Outhere empire.
Outhere already owns Alpha Classics, Arcana, Channel Classics, Eloquentia, Fuga Libera, ICA Classics, Linn Records, Muso, Outnote Records, Phi, Ramée and Ricercar.
Analekta’s stars included Angèle Dubeau, Kent Nagano, Marie-Nicole Lemieux (pic)and I Musici de Montréal.
And yet you found a picture of Marie-Nicole Lemieux on a Naïve recording, which gives the impression that Naïve is the label in question. Please be more precise!
Not only is the picture of Marie-Nicole Lemieux from a Naïve recording, her last recording with Analekta is from 2004. She’s been recording for Erato for years now, after a time with Naïve.
Charles Richard-Hamelin is an Analekta artist too.

Little wonder we’ve been seeing much fewer releases from these labels. They’ll probably all get reorganized under one roof eventually.

I’m pretty sure Analekta had been looking for a buyer for quite some time.
