No, great artists are suffering in a much more refined, meaningful and beautiful way, because of their more differentiated and sensitive nervous system, careful upbringing, and pertinent avoidance of stimuli which might unbalance an inner life dedicated to beautifying the world for us, normal mortals who merely suffer in a raw, undifferentiated and meaningless way.
