In the Concours International de Piano d’Epinal in France, the Czech Jan Cmejla and the Frenchman Slava Guerchovitch shared the first prize.

They posed afterwards with their teachers Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy and Rena Shereshevskaya, who were on the jury.

What could possibly be cosier?

When will these arrangements be banned once and for all?

Ridiculous situation, it’s like a football match where the referee is also the coach for one of the teams.

This hardly matters to the Czechs, who don’t care if something is low-quality or mediocre as long as it’s theirs, e.g., every Czech classical musician of the past 20 years. Plus, they basically operate on a mafia system, so this wouldn’t bother them.
