Netrebko’s husband delays concert with ‘dear Ukrainian friend’
NewsThe tenor Yusif Eyvazov has called off a March 28 concert in Moscow with the Ukrainian TV star Kirill Turichenko and rescheduled it for September, blaming logistical issues:
My dear friend , unfortunately we have to postpone our concert in Moscow with my dear friend Kirill Turichenko in @crocuscityhall . NEW DATE IS 21.09.2022 .. unfortunately in this horrible situation and difficult logistic problems looking impossible to make it work!
Eyvazov is married to the soprano Anna Netrebko, who has been dropped outside Russia for her failure specifically to condemn the Putin invasion of Ukraine.
Turichenko is a former boyband member who lives in Odessa and presents The Voice on Ukraine TV channel 1. Last month he filmed a new pop duet with Eyvazov.

True, but if he’s writing from within Russia, his choices are to use euphemism or go to prison.

No, it’s a not a war but a ‘Special Military Operation’. Remember the Nazi ‘Einsatzgruppen’, ‘deployment groups’, which some misinformed people called ‘death squads’ just because they went around killing people.

Turichenko is not a ” former” member of the band ( unless i felt apart in the last few weeks” . He enjoys a successful careir in Russia, performing in concert and shows.
Eyvazov is simply one of the world’s worst tenors, terrifying. Great that Netrebko stopped after recent lousy performances, as the voice (an initially beautiful one) remains in a sorry state through repeated forcing, but he should really have followed her out of mercy for the public!!!
