We hear from Taras Krysa, music director in Lviv until 2020, that most current members of the Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra have stayed in the city and volunteered to defend Lviv.

Among others who have stayed are Taras’s uncle is Bogdan Krysa, former concertmaster of National Symphony of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Taras, who is presently Director of Orchestras at University of Nevada, is half-Russian, half-Ukrainian.

He has given this situation assessment to Fox News. ‘Life as we knew it ended in a minute,’ he says.

There should be huge a pan-European arts festival this summer called The Other Russia

For what it’s worth, that is not “Fox News” on which Mr. Krysa is speaking. It’s the local news Channel 5 in Las Vegas, that happens to be owned by the Fox Broadcasting Company. Not the same thing at all as Fox News. Fortunately.

  • It’s unlikely that interview on a local FOX affiliate will go national on FOX News.
