A Russian and a Ukrainian share a hug, on an opera stage
NewsUkrainian soprano Liudmyla Monastyrska and Russian mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Gubanova fell into each other’s arms at the end of Verdi’s Aida at the San Carlo Theatre in Naples on Sunday evening.
The audience chanted ‘peace, peace, peace.’
